Elocution competition
‘Poverty is the main cause of trafficking’

Under the activity of Pan Asia Anti Trafficking program, Caritas Nepal Gender desk has organized elocution competition among the high school students on the topic ‘Poverty is main cause of trafficking’. Five government schools from Lalitpur district have participated in competition. The number of speakers was 10, among which four were girls and they were from grade eight to grade ten. Beside the contestants, 40 other students have also participated in the program.

The student from Shreekrishna Higher Secondary School stood first in competition while Mahendra Bhrikuti and Bal Binod obtained the second and third position respectively. Similarly, two other students from Jana Udaya High School and Bal Binod got consolation prizes in competition. Five other contestants also got the token for their active participation in program. The prizes were distributed by Caritas Nepal, Excuative Director , Fr. K.B. Bogati with the encouraging speech to the students.
